YOSEMITE 175
During our visit to Yosemite National Park, we stayed at 6,000 feet elevation, passing Inspiration Point each morning and evening on our way to and from Yosemite Valley. The overlook is always packed with photographers—tripod legs often overlapping! While the view is spectacular, I was after something a little different. I wandered off the beaten path and followed a road until I found this scene. But there was one problem: bushes blocked my view. I left, bought an 8-foot ladder, and returned the next day. With the ladder and my 9-foot Benro tripod, I was able to set up above the greenery and capture this photograph.
