WASHINGTON OAKS 1
I had heard there were beaches in Northeast Florida with rocky shorelines that looked more like the West Coast of the United States. I found that hard to believe—every Florida beach I’d seen was simply white sand. Curious, I decided to visit Washington Oaks and see for myself. Sure enough, the beach was scattered with beautiful rock formations. The scene reminded me of my years living in California—except the water here is warmer! I had a wonderful time photographing the area.
